Islamic Calendar 2025 – Hijri Calendar 1445/1446

The Hijri calendar is a lunar calendar, consisting of 12 months of 354 or 355 days. As it is a lunar calendar, there is an annual drift of 10 days, which means that it is not synchronised with the seasons, with the dates being repeated every 33 years.

Using the Islamic calendar below, you can find the days of Eid as well as the projected start dates for each month, based upon calculation.

  • Al Isra’ wal Mi’raj (The night journey and ascension) 27th January 2025 (begins evening of 26th January) 27th Rajab 1446
  • Shab-e-Barat – 14th February 2025 (15th Shaban 1446) 
  • 1st Ramadan – 1st March 2025 (begins evening of 28th February 2025) 1st Ramadan 1446
  • Laylatul Qadr – 27th March 2025 (begins evening of 26th March 2025) 27th Ramadan 1446**
  • Eid al Fitr – 30th March 2025 1st Shawwal 1446
  • Dhul Hijjah begins – 7th June 2025
  • Hajj begins – 28th May 2025 1st Dhul Hijjah 1446
  • Day of Arafah – 4th June 2025 8th Dhul Hijjah 1446
  • Eid al Adha – 6th June 2025 10th Dhul Hijjah 1446
  • Beginning of New year (1st Muharram) – 7th July 2025
  • Day of Ashura – 6th July 2025 10th Muharram 1447
  • 12th Rabi Al Awwal – 4th September 2025

**Although it is a commonly held belief that Laylatul Qadr occurs on the 27th of Ramadan. Scholars of Hadith recommend focusing on the last 10 nights of Ramadan, especially the odd nights, as it is most likely to have occurred in one of these odd nights based on a Hadith.
