Ramadan is a blessed month and the most special time of the year for over a billion Muslims worldwide. Last year we were able to help more than 1.2 million people in need of support during the holy month. We delivered over 225,000 food packs in 30 countries, while following Covid-19 safety protocols to ensure the safety of staff and those in need.

Fasting during this blessed month is a means to become closer to our Lord. It is a time when we increase our worship, good deeds, and giving in charity.

“O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting as it was decreed upon those before you that you may become righteous” Surah Al-Baqarah 2:183

Ramadan is usually a time when people pray together, fast together and eat together. However, due to Covid-19 regulations, many of us have been forced to pray in our homes and unable to meet with extended family or friends over recent years.

For people in conflict and disaster zones, their experiences of being cut off from family and friends has been even worse.

The global pandemic, conflicts, political instability, and natural disasters have blighted the lives of millions of people.

Despite all these challenges, Islamic Relief continued to distribute Ramadan food packs, deliver Eid gifts and provide aid to some of the most vulnerable people during this blessed month.

Thanks to your generous donations last year, we were able to bring some ease to people in need.

This Ramadan you can help us reach even more vulnerable people. Your donations change lives and have a lasting impact. Donate today.
